Updating the County Clerk's Office is a MUST.Experience_is_Key_to_Success.pdf
I can begin the process of updating the County Clerk's Office on day one. I already understand all the current processes as well as the reasons why they exist. Because of my experience, I can get to work immediately creating a better functioning and more user friendly office for all. I pledge to move this office forward strategically, efficiently and effectively to better protect the records that belong to the people I serve.

I have been asked to clarify processes in the County Clerk’s office pertaining to the origination of case filings. Information such as criminal case filings, probates and guardianships all originate in the County Clerk’s office. Attorneys are required to file cases utilizing either the E-File system or over-the-counter filing in the County Clerk’s Office. ALL of these types of cases originate in the County Clerk’s office. The County Clerk is the custodian of all records that pertain to Class A and B Misdemeanors, Probates, Guardianships, Small Estates, Protective Orders, Civil Case filings and all Real Property recordings. (This list is not all inclusive.)
My goal is to share with the people of Lampasas why this position is so important. I have spent the last eight plus years as a deputy clerk. I love my job and have come to understand these processes very well. I have the necessary experience and knowledge to begin the transformation of this office on day one. This task is a major undertaking and I am committed to seeing it through for the betterment of Lampasas County.
I humbly ask for your vote so I can begin the process. I have a strategic plan and will share all the details at a later date. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me via my website contact form, email, or the listed phone number. I will share anything and everything as transparency is very important to me.
If you missed the forum this evening, it was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the candidates. Here is the information on the Uniform Case Management System I spoke about this evening. I would like for you all to take a look at these two articles and please let me know if you have any questions about this needed transition. I hope to be your next County Clerk and put my Knowledge of the office as well as my Experience to work for the great people off Lampasas County. I humbly ask for your vote and please reach out at any time with questions about this program from the OCA and the Texas Legislature.Read More)
What is a case management system and why is it important to the County Clerk’s Office?
A case management system is a computer program that keeps track of the clerk’s records in a secure and cost efficient way. It is important to understand how a case management system works and why it is important to select one that provides everything the court needs in a single program. With the correct case management system, there is no need to have multiple programs to help digitalize the clerk’s office. During my time as a Deputy clerk, I have worked with two case management systems. I have used Odyssey and E-doc, and both these systems will be able to provide the clerk’s office with everything it needs to have one secure and efficient case management system.
The link above displays the case management system that would be available to the County Clerk’s office via a grant from the State of Texas. I worked with this case management system during my time at the Denton County Clerk’s office. The software is fully integrated with the E-filing program that clerks and attorneys are required to use.
Please feel free to email any questions you may have and I will be happy to answer them.
